► FAQ
How to know if the housing seal has been compromised?
The most obvious sign is oil leakage (a greasy residue on the handle) or the appearance of air bubbles in the 4D image. If you see bubbles moving across the screen during a volume sweep, the housing is no longer hermetically sealed.
Why does the housing feel hot during a long 4D exam?
While some warmth is normal due to the motor and transducer crystals, excessive heat usually indicates a motor malfunction or a lack of internal oil. If the housing is uncomfortably hot to the touch, disconnect the probe and have it inspected.
